She said she had to breastfeed during virtual class. Her professor’s reply shocked her.

Marcella Mares, a student at Fresno City College, needed to breastfeed her baby during her four-hour online class. When her professor told her that students needed to keep their cameras and microphones on at all times, she emailed her privately and stated that she would have to turn it off when she needed to breastfeed her baby. Her responded saying that she shouldn’t breastfeed in class and should find another option, but after Mares contacted the school’s Title IX coordinator the professor apologized for his response.

Rat called Magawa awarded prestigious gold medal for Cambodia landmine detection

A rat was awarded a gold medal by a British veterinary charity for detecting landmines in Cambodia. He was trained to detect landmines by the charity APOPo, and has since discovered 39 landmines and 28 items of unexploded ordinance. He can search an area the size of a tennis court in 30 minutes, something that would take a human 4 days to do, both saving lives and giving land safely to the communities.

California woman dreamed about eating engagement ring — woke up to find she really did

Jenna Evans had a dream that she needed to protect her engagement ring, so she swallowed it, and while the dream was not real, swallowing the engagement ring was. Evans went to an urgent care clinic, and eventually to a gastroenterologist, who found the ring in Evan’s intestines, just beyond her stomach. Evans and her fiance are able to laugh at the story, and are planning on getting married next May.
